Anatoly Fabrikant
Research Scientist / System Engineer / Software engineer (2000 - Current)
KLA-Tencor
- Designed and developed efficient and flexible engineering prototype of company advanced software
for modeling diffraction on complicated structures and computationally intensive data analysis.
This advanced prototype has been in use by both external and internal customers for 8+ years.
- Proposed and prototyped improvements in speed, accuracy, and stability of the product software,
based on optimal parameterization, memory caching, integer arithmetic, interpolation and data filtering techniques.
- Developed new algorithms and software for tools calibration, diagnostics and performance control,
which are being used by system engineering and manufacturing (11 patents).
- Provided theoretical foundation and numerical simulations for instant system analysis and error
budgeting of optical measurement tools: spectral ellipsometer, reflectometer, spectral overlay, and AFM.
- Managed tool diagnostics development project, which included gathering, writing, and formal approval
of system requirements, software prototyping, detailed software requirements, outsourced
code writing, testing, troubleshooting, formal release process, and general software maintenance.
- Performed system engineering tasks, including calibrations, troubleshooting, escalations of customer-related issues.
